Next Monday, a virtual roundtable will bring together influential White House officials, elite Democratic operatives, and leaders from the crypto industry to discuss digital asset policy. This meeting, organized by California Representative Ro Khanna, follows a similar roundtable held in July. According to a report from Politico Pro, the upcoming event will see participation from National Economic Council director Lael Brainard, White House deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed, and outgoing senior adviser Anita Dunn, who recently announced her departure from the Biden administration to advise a $300 million super PAC for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Anita Dunn, a key player in Biden’s inner circle, made a strong impression at the July roundtable with her engagement and active note-taking, as noted by Crypto Council for Innovation CEO Sheila Warren. Her presence at the upcoming meeting signifies a continued high-level interest in the crypto sector’s concerns and policy needs.

The Harris campaign officials have reportedly been invited, although it remains unclear if they will attend. Unlike the previous meeting, this roundtable will not feature lawmakers such as New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand or billionaire Mark Cuban.

This roundtable is a significant step towards fostering better understanding and collaboration between the government and the rapidly evolving crypto industry. It’s a crucial opportunity for industry leaders to voice their concerns and influence future policies that could shape the landscape of digital assets in the United States.
